Back to Yourself
Reconnect, rest, and remember who you are — for five days on the shores of Lake Atitlán.
Hosted by Clara Martínez
September 4-9, 2026
Five days to stop, breathe, and remember what it actually feels like to be you.
At some point, without really noticing, you stopped being the person on your own to-do list. You kept going. You managed. You showed up for everyone who needed you. And somewhere in all of that, you quietly drifted from yourself.
We will support you in practices that help you soften into deeper knowing of yourself, move through transformation in a safe group setting, and be held by the beauty of nature in the process.
This is five days on the shores of Lake Atitlán — one of the most genuinely beautiful places on earth — to slow down, move your body, breathe properly, and give yourself permission to just… rest.
You don't need to be fixed. You don't need to become a new person or figure everything out. You just need a little space to come back to who you already are.— Clara (Retreat Facilitator)
What we'll actually do
The days have a gentle rhythm — morning practice, evening gathering, and a lot of unstructured time in between. No packed schedule. No pressure to be anywhere except where you are.
You've been so busy taking care of everything else. This is five days just for you, to rest, breathe, and remember that you were never broken to begin with.
Why are we offering this retreat?
Over years of teaching, I kept noticing the same thing. People would show up carrying a kind of tiredness that sleep doesn't fix. The tiredness of someone who has been strong for a long time, for a lot of people, without a single moment to stop.
Some were at a crossroads. Some were curious about a quieter version of themselves but didn't know where to start. Some just needed a break and couldn't justify it yet.
I created this retreat for all of them.
What most of us need isn't another goal or another thing to optimize. We need space. We need nature. We need to remember, in our bodies not just our heads, that we are not behind, not broken, and not alone.
My hope is that you leave lighter, clearer, and with people beside you who actually get it. The kind of friends you only make when you've been somewhere real together.
That's why we're doing this.
This might be for you if…
You're tired in a way that a weekend off doesn't fix.
You've been so focused on everyone else that you genuinely can't remember what you enjoy.
You want more clarity and calm in your life, but you don't know where to start.
You're curious about yoga, breathwork, or ceremony, but you're not sure if it's "your thing" yet.
You just want five days where someone else handles the meals and you get to show up and breathe.
You're not looking to be fixed. You're just ready for a real break.

Clara Martínez
Yoga teacher & mindfulness facilitator · 20+ years
Clara used to be a corporate lawyer. A good one. And then one random yoga class, 23 years ago, changed everything. She spent 18 months traveling through Asia, studied with teachers in India, and eventually made the kind of life change that sounds scary until you actually do it.
She now lives at Lake Atitlán and teaches in both English and Spanish. She's warm, she's funny, and she doesn't take herself too seriously. Her spaces feel safe without being precious — the kind of place where you can cry, laugh, and sit in silence, sometimes all in the same afternoon.
She's not here to tell you how to live. She's here to help you hear yourself again
